unless the OP can help you upload just the boot.img (i.e assuming you both are on the same firmware build)
you should be able to get this from the official firmware @ https://www.alldocube.com/en/firmware/al...-download/
you should download firmware that matches your build number

I guess I managed to brick my iPlay 20. Any idea if there is some rescue?

- Successfully unlocked the bootloader (using the modified fastboot). After that the tablet booted normally.
- After that tried to patch the boot.img with Magisk and then run "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img"

Now the tablet just displays "ALLDOCUBE Powered by android", and "INFO: LOCK FLAG IS: UNLOCK!!" in the upper left corner. adb or fastboot do not find any devices.
- Pressing and holding Power (or Power+VolUp): After 5 seconds: display goes black, less than one second later: back to above screen
- Pressing and holding Power+VolDown (or all 3 keys): After 5 seconds: display goes black, stays black for 10-15 seconds, then back to above screen.
No change by pressing or holding any other keys...
Is there anything else I could try to recover the device?

Ok, in the long black period after Power+VolDown, the SPD flash tool can actually flash the device. Great. Its back to life :-)

So what I skipped was the creating of the custom vbmeta. With that done, everything works smoothly. Thanks for the detailed description!

For the key extraction, there is a simpler method than using a hex editor. Just add these lines at the end of the print_desc function in avbtool.py:
f = open("keys/key_" + self.partition_name + ".bin", "w")
f.write(self.public_key)
f.close()
and you will directly get the keys in separate files.

perfect! but can you help specify which particular print_desc function? there's a good number of this function within the tool
or you could attach your modified avbtool and the avbtool command issued too

Great to hear! If you happen to install some other OS on the thing, LineageOS or something else, please share your experiences! I'd like to get rid of the original OS, as I don't really trust the chinese software..

I got IPLAY20 unlocked build 20201208 and i tried to patch boot.img with magisk my tablet don't reboot after flashed boot .img patched magisk ??
P.S solved find patched ready to use for firmware 20200824...i hope find later for 20201208
