(25-04-2017, 02:18 AM)spanner1122 I am attempting to root my phone, but I cannot find a compatible recovery to flash. If anyone could help me out and perhaps provide a link to the best way to flash the recovery, it would be greatly appreciated.
Model: BLU Advance 5.5 HD
Build #: MRA58K
Android: 6.0
Chipset: MediaTek MT6580
recovery.bin and scatter file
Thanks in advance.

Here's Philz @ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4S-Z72...tWSUE/view
Follow the rooting guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-17777.html but using your philz
Once rooted, upload a screenshot of root verification using root checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en
BTW, I think there's something wrong with the scatter file you sent. I made some modifications though
(25-04-2017, 05:32 PM)spanner1122 Thank you for the recovery, it works great. Although I tried flashing the SuperSU zip file and it installed the app and everything on my phone, it says that I still do not have root access. Am I missing a step somewhere in-between or should it get these permissions just by flashing the zip?
Thanks again.
(25-04-2017, 09:43 PM)hovatek Reflash the supersu then launch any app that requires root.
Let me know how it goes
(26-04-2017, 03:21 AM)spanner1122 I flashed it again, and it appeared to be successful, then I clicked reboot from the recovery, and answered "no" to the popup asking me if I wanted to add root access. When the phone had started up I tried to open BusyBox, as well as the root checker, and both said that I did not have root access.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks
(26-04-2017, 06:11 AM)spanner1122 Just to update, I have tried re-flashing, clearing the cache afterwards, as well as downloading and flashing the latest version of the zip (2.79) and still no luck.
Thanks
(26-04-2017, 06:52 PM)spanner1122 Okay, should I post it here, or pm it to you?
Thanks
