This guide will teach you how to Flash or Update your iOS Device with the Firmware (.ipsw) you've already downloaded @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-175...01676.html

Requirement:

  • Internet Connection
  • Original USB Cable for apple device
  • Latest iTunes
  • Latest iOS Fimware
  • If you're updating then you will have to turn Off Find my iPhone in Setting>iCloud>Find my iPhone.
  • For OS crash you'll have to enter DFU Mode by. Don't need to enter DFU Mode for Updating:

Steps to Restore (Flash) or Update iOS Device with .IPSW Downloaded Firmware


  1. Open iTunes
    Click on the Phone by the Top Left

  2. Go to Update or Restore by the Top Right.
    Note: for update or restore you must disable Find my iPhone in, Setting>Icloud>Find my iphone

    Hold Down Shift and Click Update or Restore, if you have already downloaded your firmware: See How to Download @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-17572.html

    For Restore Hold Down Power Button + Home Button until the phone goes off and release power button keep holding home button and Connect USB Cable this will take you to DFU Mode


  3. A dialogue box will open to allow you locate the firmware (.ipsw) file you downloaded, and click open.

  4. Click Update, for Restore click Restore at the pop-up

  5. It will automatically extract and install, phone restart several times in this stage.

Hello please I don't know how to manipulate computer softwares and I only have an iPad I don't have a computer and I need to back up my iPad 3 , iOS 9.3.5 then downgrade before I jailbreak it , so what do I do.

Apart from iTunes, I know TunesKit iOS System Recovery can also be a fix. It can fix the ios-related issue without data loss and quickly.
