I want to try and port a custom ROM to my device. The problem Huh i am having with my backup is that there is no META-INF folder.

I did create and tried to install the zipped folder and I get Error 0. I hear its issues with update-binary and solving it needs original/compatible update-script. Problem is I dont have one because I built using system ext4.tar and boot.img.

I am trying to build a custom rom for tecno H5 with MTk6572platform

You need to manually configure kitchen to read your mount points correctly so as to create the correct updater.script

You'll be doing this under tools > edify_def .
1. have you setup kitchen and created a working folder for the Tecno H5?
2. Email the following files to support@hovatek.com
EBR, MBR, Logo.bin, Secro.img & Uboot.bin
They should all be in your MTK droid tools backup
