After unrooting and updating firmware to Nougat, the root method part where you are supposed to boot into TWRP does not work now. Is there any workaround on that?

did you get any particular error message?
BTW whats your current build number?
and do you have the stock rom or the OTA update.zip you used in updating the device?

I flashed the rom from scratch to get the nougat update.... When downloading the TWRP recovery.img it says OK but instead of booting into recovery it reboots normally.... And I noticed my play store wasnt launching after unlocking the bootloader giving a funny error messageConfusedomething to do with play store app files not present... I reflashed the A9-H971A1-M-170227V114 Version then started updating from there... And believe me the updates are coming in real slow..approx. 55KBps Confused Angry And the problem isnt on my side...
It would be easier if I could get the update.zip but I dont know where.

That recovery is for Marshmallow. We'll have to port a Nougat TWRP.
Is your phone currently on Marshmallow or Nougat?

I thought thedrivers were for all... Does anyone know where to get drivers for MT67XX then or for my specific device? But interestingly,SP Flash Tools has always detected my device

Miracle isnt detecting my phone

It should, if miracle isn't detecting your device try connecting the phone while holding vol down button or try running miracle on a pc running windows 7.
