Please we need tutorials and guide to root oukitel u16max with a working twrp recovery. The tutorial online doesn't work for me. I have issues with Sp flash tool connecting and disconnecting to my device. I would also like to know the risks of rooting with the frequent manufacturer updates I receive. Thank you

1. What's the Exact chipset, Build Number and Android version?
2. Are you certain thet TWRP you're trying to use was ported for your exact model
3. You shouldn't install OTA updates on a rooted phone else it could brick it. You should always unroot before the update then reroot after

Thank you for your response. I'll upload a screenshot showing the details you asked for... And put the advice on installing OTAs in mind when I finally get it rooted.

Ok I will... Please hope there is no risk of bricking from this activity. I have PBSD (Post-bricking stress disorder) from several phones I've bricked.

That's why you were asked to do a firmware backup first. Its your Safety Net

Hello.. I have tried backing up the rom with mbox. I still get the same disconnecting and reconnecting error. The "mtk preloader driver does not stay for long enough to begin flashing. I've used volume + and - nothing

Finally got mbox to detect it. My user data is too big tho... I'll untick it and re-back up.
