EX-Mobile ExPad P9620

Initially my tab was working fine, managed to root it with Kingroot a few days after purchase and later moved to SuperSU.

A year later I got adventurous and tried oem unlocking with ADB Fastboot but was locked out from my OS. So in panicked state, I went and used SPFT to flash a similar custom ROM (Teclast P98 with MT6850) including its preloader and everything into the phone. Biggest REGRET ever!

The phone went totally hard bricked and now even plugging it into the charger won't even show a battery icon on screen. Worst the charger doesn't even get hot when plugged in (could it be that the tab is not even charging?)

Now whatever I attempt to flash it with preloaders from various MT7850 tablet brands such as Teclast P98, and cube U63s won't even pass giving BROM ERROR: S_FT_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0) Hint: Please check your load matches to your target which is to be downloaded.

This doesn't only occur on downloads, it also fails the same BROM error when attempting to format the device's including its bootloader.

Another vital information that I can provide is that the tiny safety pin-hole under the vol buttons is for turning the device off when you poke it with a pin/toothpick.
Also here's the getvar info which I extracted from the device before I bricked the device.

Are there any alternative flashing tools out there that can re-flash the preloader bypassing the BROM error SPFT keeps preventing me from downloading?

Is there anyone kind enough enough out there who can provide me a working ROM for this particular device?

The manufacturer EX-Mobile Malaysia does not provide any recovery ROM for this product and worst yet they advertised this model as having 32GB of ROM and 2GB of RAM which is fake(only has 16GB ROM and 1GB RAM - should have gotten suspicious with such specs for the price it was offered a year back).
Worst still, the device has approval and endorsement by the Malaysian Multimedia Commission with its approval stamp on the back.

Thanks.

you're probably getting the error due to incompatible rom. but lemme ask when you flashed the rom that bricked your device, was it flashed successfully with a green tick?
and do you have access to a working device same model as the bricked one?

Thanks for the reply. Yes it did flashed completely and ended with a green tick. On having a same working device model, guess I'm out of luck because I'm just a consumer, I don't have repair shop tools such as Magicbox or working stocks. I have only 1 dead bricked unit at the moment at hand. Sad

You're getting the BROM error with the other roms because they're not compatible with your tab.
You have just 2 options
1. Find the firmware for your exact model
2. Find someone (online or offline) with a working phone of the same model to backup for you
