To get permanent root, you need to patch boot using Magisk or SuperSU.
I doubt MTK droid tools will work on this device.
When you have temporary root, try using rashr or flashify to see if you can backup stock recovery.img . Also check if ADB can detect the device
Thanks for the update boss, kindly give insight of steps on how to patch boot.

(19-06-2018, 08:51 AM)innageeI did nothing to the boot.img i only used magisk and after it did its installation, i did a reboot, then it got stock. I have the boot. Img but its in the tablet. Is there a way to retrieve it in this current state?(18-06-2018, 09:50 PM)jdfm now i have messed things MIup...i used magisk manager and i installed boot img i created using flashify... it did some unpacking and packing, i restarted and now im getting this on startup "your device cannot start because android os image has failed to verify i may attempt to recover the device" chai!!!
you don't need to unpack/pack apart from the magisk patch.
Did you modify anything from the boot image.
Do you still have the stock boot.img (not-patched)?
(20-06-2018, 12:46 PM)jdfm From the tablets stock recovery i can get into bootloader mode, not sure if its same as fastboot.
fastboot devices
(20-06-2018, 05:40 PM)X3nonyes fastboot works...what else boss?(20-06-2018, 12:46 PM)jdfm From the tablets stock recovery i can get into bootloader mode, not sure if its same as fastboot.
it should be the same thing. "fastboot mode" will be written on your phone's screen when it has booted into fastboot
alt. you can setup adb and fastboot using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html
then enter the cmd below and check if your device is detected
Code:fastboot devices
