(16-08-2018, 09:45 AM)teeol here are the contents of the update zip

this would be my first time flashing from an update.zip and i would like a small assistance with the partitions to flash in the folder extracted. I have the scatter file and ready to start.

First, ensure you've done a full backup of your phone's firmware.

You have a number of options. One is to use Flashfire (If it supports your model).

Another is to download this X571-H5311A-N-170815V201 zip @ https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B0gy-qOS...t=download and flash the recovery & boot using SP flash tool.
This would remove root & twrp (since you probably rooted using systemless SuperSU 2.79) but any other changes you made to /system (after rooting) would still be in place.
Lets know when this done so we proceed
BTW, what changes precisely did you make to /system after rooting

i once tried using flashfire and it failed right at the start of the update at either the  boot or recovery (cant remember which one). then it just restarted the phone. slightly naive back then.

Could flashing the stock boot and recovery and then trying again help? sound like a noob question but just wanted clarification since system-less root modifications are done in the boot image.

there's no sign of recovery within the update.zip so flashfire probably failed at boot. my guess is it couldn't patch boot. you could still retry after flashing stock

you didn't tell what changes you made to /system partition?
also whats the build number of the new update?

Now, try installing the OTA update. You might get an error (and that's OK). I just want to confirm that
