(08-11-2018, 12:07 PM)hovatek Try this TWRP ..

This didn't work.

What happens is it takes a very long time to restart the tablet (it stays very long by the screen showing that the device is unlocked and not secure. This should only take 5 seconds but it takes more then 1 minute. I didn't time it). When it finally restarts it in regular mode.

Thank You for all you help. I hope we will be able to resolve this.

That's because your phone has DM_verity. You need to patch boot using magisk @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html then flash the patched boot before flashing TWRP

I had originally patched my boot.img with magisk, but I did now again and made sure to have the [ ] Keep dm-verity unchecked. This still didn't help. After flashing the recovery.img from you previous post I still can't boot into recovery.

I went ahead and used ASSAYYED Kitchen and removed the DM_varity from the boot.img. Still not working the TWRP recovery you gave me.

On a different computer I was able to patch with version 1.0 and 1.2 (but not with version 1.3).

Version 1.2 When I flash it and boot to recovery it keeps on looping to the screen with message that device not trusted and then shuts off and comes back to that screen.

Version 1.0 Stays a very long time at screen with not trusted message then boot to regular mode.

I was wondering if maybe the problem is because my device is SELinux Enforcing. If yes how do I go about making it permissive or even Disabled.

One more thing should I be wiping data with all these tries? I would rather not lose my data but if that will help I would be willing to try.

No need to wipe your data.

I see that your boot has DM_Verity. That would explain why the custom recovery fails.

I will take a look at this.

The boot.img file I sent you was the stock img. I think the Magisk patched file doesn't have it. When I ran the TWRP Porter it said that I don't have DM_verity.

****Edit****
After reading the link you sent me I must say that I have patched with Magisk and the porter tool said that I don't have DM_verity enabled. I'm a little confused here.

I'm wondering if its possible that it has something to do with SELinux booting as Enforcing.
