Baseband version: Unknown problem for unrooted Mediatek phone
Baseband version: Unknown problem for unrooted Mediatek phone
(18-03-2019, 05:47 PM)janhoza I upgraded the firmware on my unrooted Ouktel K10 to the latest Android version available, 8.1 (OUKITEL_K10_8.1_V12.0_20181127) (was Android version 7.1.1 before) using the Flash Tool. I now have the Baseband version: Unknown problem.
On the Flash Tool, instead of "Download Only" dropdown, I set the dropdown to Firmware Upgrade. (I did this because there was this error with "Download Only" selected: "PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded. Please select "Format All + Download" scene and try again". I wanted to avoid wiping the phone so I did not use "Format All + Download" dropdown.)
The method worked (except for baseband problem), but did wipe the phone!
I then tried the "Format All + Download" dropdown, but problem remained.
I then tried again the "Download Only" dropdown, but problem remains.
What can I do now? Please help. Thanks

(19-03-2019, 02:18 PM)janhoza Thanks innagee. I did the factory reset. The phone is now still on the new ROM and baseband still unknown
What should I do now? Perhaps flash the original ROM downloaded from the supplier?
Thanks

I do have the original 7.1.1 ROM which I downloaded from the vendor website. Is this what you mean by "firmware" ?
I attach a pic of my flash tool. How do I only flash secro? It is not even on the current list.
