I upgraded the firmware on my unrooted Ouktel K10 to the latest Android version available, 8.1 (OUKITEL_K10_8.1_V12.0_20181127) (was Android version 7.1.1 before) using the Flash Tool. I now have the Baseband version: Unknown problem.

On the Flash Tool, instead of "Download Only" dropdown, I set the dropdown to Firmware Upgrade. (I did this because there was this error with "Download Only" selected: "PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded. Please select "Format All + Download" scene and try again". I wanted to avoid wiping the phone so I did not use "Format All + Download" dropdown.)

The method worked (except for baseband problem), but did wipe the phone!
I then tried the "Format All + Download" dropdown, but problem remained.
I then tried again the "Download Only" dropdown, but problem remains.

What can I do now? Please help. Thanks

Did you backup the phone's firmware before upgrading?
Try factory resetting the phone in settings > backup > reset or security > factory reset . Let's know the outcome.

Thanks innagee. I did the factory reset. The phone is now still on the new ROM and baseband still unknown Sad
What should I do now? Perhaps flash the original ROM downloaded from the supplier?
Thanks

do you have the firmware for android 7? if yes then try flashing only secro from the android 7 rom (you can flash using the scatter file from the android 8.x firmware so you don't encounter PMT error)
if flashing is successful, perform a factory reset then check if the baseband is fixed

Thanks for your further suggestions.

I do have the original 7.1.1 ROM which I downloaded from the vendor website. Is this what you mean by "firmware" ?

I attach a pic of my flash tool. How do I only flash secro? It is not even on the current list.

Yes, firmware is another name for ROM.

Untick everything and leave only secro.img ticked then flash, but make sure you flash the lk.bin from the nougat ROM not Oreo.

sorry, not lk.bin
check the second screenshot you sent, you'll find secro.img on the list
you've sent two screenshots in total, can you confirm which screenshot if for which rom...
the first screenshot showing SP flash tool is from the scatter file of the oreo rom
the second screenshot is files within the nougat rom
is this correct?

if yes, modify the scatter file from the oreo rom using notepad++
search for SECRO, if found then change the following values for secro so it reads as shown below then reload the oreo scatter file in SP flashtool
Code:

  file_name: secro.img
  is_download: true

Yes, you are correct about the pics I sent. 1st is flash tool with oreo scatter file. 2nd is contents of nougat ROM.

In the oreo scatter file there is no occurence of secro.img

I attach the oreo scatter file.
