Please help
I want to root my device (Infinix zero 4 plus v7.1). I have tried the steps narrated by hovatek, I still cannot boot into TWRP recovery for me to flash SuperSU.zip to root my device.
I flashed the TWRP ported by hovatek using sp flash tool, it showed success. I'm having real difficulties booting into TWRP recovery with the method via https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-479.html
Following the process below always takes me to an empty screen with a triangle icon stating 'no command', however when I hold both up vol + power buttons, it takes me to Android recovery not TWRP recovery.
(1.Switch off the phone. 2.Press volume increase/up and don’t release. 3.Press power button and keep holding down both buttons.  4.Don’t  release  till  you  enter  recovery  mode  which  will  either show clockworkmod or an Android robot lying on his back.).
It doesn't lead me to TWRP revovery. Please help.
Thank you.

I also tried using philz recovery as narrated via the method https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-18861.html
For nougat infinix zero 4 plus.
It is still leading me to Android recovery...
Is there any way or PC tool I could use to boot into TWRP recovery for the device?
Thank you.

I tried and reboot device command on Android platform tools. It rebooted into the empty screen with the ? triangle stating no command.
Does it mean, I didn't flash TWRP image correctly? They both show success.
Thanks.

I planned flashing the SuperSU.zip in my internal storage through ToolHero using the 'Flash Zip ROM' option. Please I want to know
1. Will it brick the device?
2. Will it act as same as install it through TWRP?
Thank you.

it won't work, ensure you're using twrp or philz ported for your exact build number, you can copy recovery.img from the stock rom you flashed then port twrp or philz using our tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/forum-39.html
BTW you can now use boot.img from stock rom or backup to root your phone without using a custom recovery, see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html
lets know if you have any problems

Thanks.
The boot.img and magisk worked for me. It's even simpler.
Gracias..
