(09-09-2019, 06:48 PM)Shogun Shogun What about to the devices that does not have recovery partition? My device seem to have the recovery located on boot partition (recovery and boot images on one partition).

Did tried this auto porter using the boot.img since this phone does not have recovery.img but it does not work (phone does not respond to turning on/charging).

you either boot twrp "fastboot boot twrp.img" or flash to boot partition "fastboot flash boot twrp.img" (you will need to flash stock boot to return to homescreen)
if you still have any problems then create a new thread for your device issue by clicking "Ask Question" at the top

You temporarily boot into TWRP using fastboot boot recovery.img then patch the ramdisk

BETA TESTING REPORT:

I had already unlocked my bootloader, and am already rooted with Magisk. I used the v1.5 tool to create recovery for my Infinix s4 (x626B) running on Android Pie (9), switched off my device, flashed with Miracle Box, press the Power+Vol.Up and then I see this message on screen:

"Orange state:
Your device has been unlocked and cant be trusted
Your device will boot in 5 seconds"

The the device reboots again and again and again continuously (bootloop).
I had to flash back my stock recovery to continue using my phone.

Any fix?

I don't think this process is applicable for infinix note 5 specifically....I am yet to see or hear any infinix note 5 users root or flash custom roms on their note 5 successfully....may be the Android community is yet to find a solution to infinix note 5... because I HV been searching for a long time

you can simply root using boot.img (download boot.img @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23512.html ) and magisk manager @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html

Your model uses A/B partitioning system so the approach is different from regular devices
I've sent you a PM
