(22-02-2020, 10:59 AM)Timmylog But is there any way I can backup some data from the internal storage before I flash the device? Cause they are really important.

in the current state the device is in? No

(22-02-2020, 11:19 AM)Timmylog And can't i just use download only in the software download tool cause I'm scared of something going wrong like my phone being formatted and it failing to download.

sure, you can try download only first. no guarantees that it'll will work though

Hey, turns out that I didn't need to flash the device anyway. I think it was stuck in flash mode cause after I pluggged the phone for some hours and left it for some hours also, it came up again and started working. But I don't have the TWRP in my phone yet and I don't think I want to try anything else apart from occasionally flashing the magisk patched recovery with adb for now.
Thanks for the advice earlier on, anyway.? ?

Good afternoon, please is it possible to flash a custom recovery meant for another Android device to my own device if they have the same chipset? (I.e flash CyanogenMod meant for Lenovo a7 unto Tecno lc6a though they both have the same chipset mt6761)

No, the kernel within the recovery.img of a different device regardless of the chipset won't boot on your device and will surely cause bootloop

But is that the only issue involved?

Hey, about that temporary root access on some Android 9.0 I wanted to ask that after flashing magisk.img to the recovery partition, can't we just chage recovery from boot.p to recovery from boot.pak and then the magisk image would stay in the partition permanently? Thanks

it's worth a try, there's still the possibility of a soft brick but you won't find out unless you try
BTW for TWRP, if you're still up for trying we can try manually porting a different twrp for you to test

Well i'll think I will do the magisk stuff later on cause im thinking about the softbrick issue and how it would be since it's the recovery partition that will have an issue it won't show a NO COMMAND, it'll either keep showing Tecno or the phone would not display anything. About the twrp, yes I'm up for trying, as long as ill only use fastboot for flashing the image cause I'm really scared of those flash tools after that stuff that happened to my phone

you can flash using fastboot, but until you've either removed the recovery_from_boot OR if the command @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21410.html works on your device or if "fastboot boot recovery.img" works, you won't be able to boot into twrp
you can try both fastboot commands and see if any of them works, for "fastboot boot recovery.img", you can use stock recovery.img to test
