Please who have successfully rooted his infinix Note 5 android 10 with this build number x604-H633H-Q-191227V306, please help a brother with the steps.

Do you have the firmware for your build no.? If yes, follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html to root.
If you don't have the firmware follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21970.html to backup firmware.

Thanks man, you make it look so easy,I don't have the firmware back up of my phone and I suppose downloading the rom for older versions won't work on andriod 10, concerning backing up my phone using the method above, the process is all just confusing and complicated, the thing is I have been on that road before and my infinix note 4 didn't live to tell the story, please Is there no other way to root this thing thanks?

there's always a risk involved in rooting and you must backup firmware for two reasons: 1 to use it's boot.img to root 2. you'll use the firmware to revive your phone if things go south.

if wwr_mtk backup method is too complicated for you try miracle thunder method.

download DA for note 5 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23339.html
follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html to backup your phone's firmware.

Good morning from here, please I have tried reading with miracle thunder and it returned this error
SUM ERRf:0.400000 1FF000 while reading preloader, I tried it several times still same error, any solution pls.

are you able to read other partitions other than preloader?
