while at it, you could try flashing any of the GBL7358A01_B_T30** f100 firmwares @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-389.html
maybe one might just work for your device

Yes. No charging sign, nothing. I'll upload the screenshot later, including zipped preloader.bin
Would it be safe to flash those firmware?
I cannot download the firmware files from pan.baidu.com. I'm actually familiar with it because I tried to download the firmware of a Gionee 5005L last year and couldn't even sign up on their site.
Here's a screenshot of what I'm getting:

cannot download.png
Size: 32.76 KB / Downloads: 3

I downloaded their network client software (or the desktop client, as I like to call it) to no effect last year.

This is the ROM I tried downloading:
Gionee F100
Gionee F100 GBL7358A01_B_T3097 (password: vllp)

btw, I was asking if it was safe to flash it
because of the somewhat different build numbers. There's a *T3032 on MediaFire, *T3064 & *T3097 on Baidu. The latter seem to me the latest, if that's what T* signifies and that's why I didn't pay much attention to the former. How can I download *T3064/*T3097?

there's one of them from mediafire, you can try that one

current state of the device is totally dead and unresponsive to anything, it can't get any worse than it is right now
not sure if those are firmware upgrades or totally different builds / variants (flashing would tell though, if you flash and it works perfectly well then it might well be an upgrade)

downloading from badiu will require that you signup (all other means don't work anymore), you can use google chrome for auto translation

I'll try flashing either the one from Baidu or what's on MediaFire, since it won't hurt more to try that. I sure hope things'll get better. Feedback later. BTW, what have you found out regarding the preloader?

I flashed *T3032 because *T3097 was taking forever to download and it worked.
I'm getting greeted by '234... has stopped' even after factory reset. Will upload screenshot l8r. Couldn't find the app in settings.

I also ported recoveries with TWRP porters 1.0, 1.2 & 1.4; it was pretty much the same as before (only 1.4-ported recovery works and without access to storage).

It baffles me that the ROM dump I made did not work.

i didn't notice you uploaded it earlier but looking at it now, everything seems perfectly okay (from the human eye at least)

great! so t3032 works for t3070
you could still try flashing back the rest of your backup rom excluding the preloader. chances are if those files are good then you'll get your device in the exact same as it was just before you made the backup (it'll also get rid of the 234 has stopped error)
twrp could be fixed by modifying the mount point in recovery.fstab . that'll be for a different thread not here

What tool r u using to diagnose it? Is it the Android Kitchen, per'aps?

(08-04-2020, 10:48 AM)X3non great! so t3032 works for t3070

Is something wrong with the preloader?

I'll do it as soon as I get battery to 30% (or less). I was thinking of it ever since I got *T3032

Whoa! That's all gibberish to me. Will notify you after flashing ROM, creating a new post & uploading stock recovery image. Thank you, very much, dear sir.

New thread, as required by Hovatek Forum rules: [Tweak] Flash custom recovery and install GApps on Gionee F100

I have flashed, although with a bit of a skirmish, letting preloader ticked. Nevertheless, phone has booted and seems to be alright. Haven't done much to test it yet.
