I rooted my blu g9 pro using magisk. now neither the camera, flashlight, or fingerprint scanner work. i've flashed stock firmware several different times but that hasn't worked. Could it be because I flashed the boot img of the custom build g0230ww instead of my original build of g0231ww when i rooted my phone. Third party apps don't work either. I'm just wondering what got messed up in the process. Everything else works just about fine, excluding the stuff i mentioned.

No, I flashed g0230ww. It was the only firmware i could find online. I extracted the stock firmware from another blu g9 pro that i had never rooted and tried to flash it, but i need a secure boot da if I want to use sp flash tool. I also managed to flash the original camera files on adb and the camera was there for a little bit, but dm verity quickly disabled it. A major issue is that I've most likely flashed my phone with the wrong firmware and can't get back to the true original.

the other phone you extracted firmware from is g0231ww ?
if yes, how did you extract the firmware without using a DA file? if you didn't use a DA file then you should be able to flash without a DA as well
OR better still, you could try unlocking bootloader then flash using fastboot

Yes, it's g0231ww. I extracted the firmware using the wwr tool and sp flash tool. I basically just used this youtube tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMAytZ56hac .  When I try to flash the firmware using sp flash tool i get an error saying i need verified files or to disable dm verity. I can't get the manufacter signed version of the files i extracted so that they can be verified and I don't know how to disable dm verity on this phone.

I already unlocked the bootloader using magisk but it still get the dm verity or verified files error when i try to flash. I heard people say that I need a secure DA if that's happening so that's why I was asking for one. I've tried using some of the secure da files for other blu phones but they don't work because i still get the same error. Although I'll try whatever method works to flash the g0231ww firmware on my phone.

the -verified / -sign file error doesn't have anything to do with the phone having secure boot, so long as you were able to readback without a custom DA then your device doesn't have secure boot and doesn't require a custom DA to flash

and when i mentioned unlock bootloader and flash, i referred to flash using fastboot not sp flash tool
install adb and fastboot @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html
boot to fastboot mode @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19503.html
flash the files matching the partitions you flashed with the g0230ww firmware excluding preloader using fastboot.

by this i mean if in the g0230ww firmware you flashed only preloader, boot, recovery and system then flash only boot, recovery and system from the g0231ww backup using fastboot then factory reset the device using fastboot -w command

Code:

e.g
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot -w

Thank you, I did that and managed to get my phone back to the build number g0231ww. But the fingerprint scanner and camera still don't work. I tried flashing the vendor img and md1rom img file but that just sends my phone into a bootloop and i have to flash the files again to get it back to normal. I sent a picture of the files of my phone's rom, do you think there's anything i'm not flashing or some process I'm not doing.

when you flashed the g0230ww firmware, which option did you select; format all + download or download only?
the files you listed above are the same files found within the g0230ww firmware right? if yes, then did you flash all the files excluding preloader?

I had to do format all+download because sp flash toll said that the rom had changed. And i flash all of the .img files. Should i flash the .bin ones as well
