(09-04-2020, 02:09 PM)jdfm I flashed all the files i have using "download". I could not use "format+download" cos preloader wasnt reflecting. Attached are the files i flashed.
NB i deleted some i thouhgt where not needed.

Not an entirely good idea as many of those partitions are not empty and some of those partitions could contain data that could fix an issue such as this one i.e if it's not caused by faulty hardware
you'll need to find another x627 device without this issue to backup
I used the firmware proposed by Innagee (I want to believe is from a working device) but still having same issue.

All right Xenon... Duly noted sir, thanks for the assistance. Soon as I can lay my hands on a working device I'll try again. God bless you all.

I was lying down trying to make a call then the phone fell on the mattress, I noticed the back light went off but when I put it on my face as normal, back light stays on... What could be the cause?

is this a one time thing or you tried severally and the outcome was the same?

Tried several times and it was the same... But only happens at night.

This might be a hardware related problem, have the proximity sensor checked/replaced.

Inagee, I dont want to believe it's hardware related cos it was working perfectly before I tried backing up and rooting. It was after I flashed my backup with some of the files deleted that this started. Getting a full backup is just my challenge now.

Ok, keep looking for a different phone of your model to take backup.
