Hi

I am looking for a link I can download free firmware for a GTAB tablet with the following info: Not sure if this is enough:

BB CHIP: MT6582
MS BOARD: Q53
IMEI: UNKNOWN
MODEM VERSION: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WC.MP.V56, 2018/01/17 19:24
BAR CODE: UNKNOWN
KERNEL VERSION: 3.4.67 (SOFTWARE@SERVICE) (GCC VERSION 4.7 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 8 15:15:07 CST 2018
ANDROID VER : 4.4.2
SW Ver. : ALPS.KK1.MP1.V2.36

IT seems this is a Chinese model and its GTAB model. When I install mediatek drivers on PC, it is recognised as Q77

Please help

gtab q77 doesn't seem to use mt6582 from info gathered online
g-tab P709M seems to have both the same chipset and sw ver in your op

The Tablet just displayed a message saying, "encryption was unsuccessful.." and giving option to restore to factory setting. Touch screen was not responsive.

Hard resetting was not helping so I ended up using SP flash to flash the tablet. Unfortunately I could not find the correct or specific ROM file to use with SP Flash.

Hello. I even tried MT6572 it was saying not matching chipset. it would say target chipset 6582 and loading chipset 6572. I am sure the chipset is MT6582

I  tried with P709M but it did not work. It would say make sure you are loading the right rom file

hold up on flashing any firmware yet
try the fix for encryption @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-579.html
while at it, backup full firmware from your device (i.e backup all partitions) using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html ; lets know when you are done

Follow this guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html to backup your phone firmware. Let us know once successful.
Also, can you get access to a working device of your model?
