Hello everyone, after flashing Vivo Y33 with a stock rom that supports Gapps it won't boot up properly, rather it will be booting into recovery on its own.

I have wiped cache and partition but same thing still occurs. I flashed it over and over again but won't come up normally. I even flashed TWRP Recovery but it will continue rebooting after showing boot logo.

What's wrong here?

What's wrong here?

what was wrong with your device before you flashed this firmware?
did you try factory resetting in stock recovery mode after flashing the firmware?
do you remember the build number of your device before flashing the firmware?

Thanks for your response. Actually nothing was wrong with the phone. It's just that Vivo Y33 is a Chinese phone and doesn't support Google apps and also the 4G network is locked to some kinda Chinese network (meaning I can only use 2G on the phone).

So I was trying to fix these two abnormalities by flashing in a stock rom that supports 4G use in Nigeria and also Google apps. After flashing the phone would automatically boot into recovery mode.

One thing I also noticed is that the Rom doesn't have stock recovery. The recovery I do see seems to be CTR or so.

And as for the build number I can't recall. Vivo Y33 only has one variant, that's why I never thought of looking at the build number before flashing.

Is it possible for me to flash in a stock recovery without flashing the whole Rom again? If yes, can you please help me with stock recovery for Vivo Y33?

The stock rom for Vivo Y33 here on Hovatek (link: https://www.hovatek.com/redirectcode.php...M1LnppcA==) doesn't work.

for gapps, backup firmware from your device. you can try using wwr mtk or miracle thunder (search for either one using the search bar at the top of the forum)
if backup is successful, then see https://journal.hovatek.com/your-android...asy-steps/
you can port twrp using the tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21839.html

for 4G, flashing firmware doesn't fix that. you can only use 4G network from network providers that use the same frequency as supported by the phone
e.g see https://www.hovatek.com/blog/cant-get-3g...heres-why/

I remember when I was using Gionee P2 that only supports 3G on sim 1, but after flashing Primo F2 rom it solved that issue. So I was thinking flashing a different stock would fix that of the 4G.

And now I don't think this is a rom issue. I did downloaded another rom yesterday (making 3 roms now) and after flashing its still booting into recovery mode. I don't really get the problem why it keeps happening. Right now I just wish to get back to the way it was, so my phone can power on.

There's a thread I saw that talked about secure boot or so, does it apply to this Vivo Y33?

did you factory reset the phone after flashing the firmware?
use method 7 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html to verify the build number of all the firmwares you've downloaded so far ; are they all the same build or different builds?

No, esp. seeing as you were able to flash without needing a custom DA

Yes, I did factory reset and wiped cache too. I used all the options via SP Flash Tool (Download, FORMAT all + Download and even Firmware Upgrade) but it still won't boot beyond recovery mode.

I was able to check the build of the phone through the recovery (photo attached).

What I am yet to do is check the build numbers of the 3 roms I have flashed in so far, just as you asked.

But I am sure this Vivo Y33 only has one variant. Though I noticed something new today. The recovery mode language is in English whereas it was in Chinese language before. I tried making backup Vai recovery from a phone I managed to lay my hands on today, but the phone recovery is in Chinese and I couldn't understand a thing.
