My Tecno F7 (Phantom A, first edition with Android 4.1) Bluetooth and WiFi suddenly won't turn on no matter what I do. Someone thinks it's a software issue as the phone has never being unscrewed before (the little-cover paper with T on it, is still on the screw). Please, help!!
Also, can the OS be upgraded to 4.2.2? If so, how do I go about it?

the F7 4.1 and 4.2 are different phones and one's ROM doesnt work directly on the other
what you need is the system.img
supply a gmail address for the Phantom A stock backup

My email address is kolawolej@gmail.com and please on the system.img, if i have access to the one for the 4.2 version do i just go ahead and flash it straight up? Or is there anything else I need to know?

One other thing, despite using mtk droid tools to make a backup, I still can't boot the phone into clockworkmod recovery. And flash tool is not seeing the phone too. Am i missing something?

not tried this before. they're different chipsets (MT6577 and MT6589) so it might not work

you need to first install vcom drivers usingĀ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html

I have done it. I use Windows 8,and when I connect my switched off phone to the pc it says not recognized. Something about the device has malfunctioned
