A friend gave me his htc an said the htc triped off after ther battery went flat and after chargin the battery with universal charger the phone wont come on or show led light or even show any sign of life but when connected to pc it makes the connected sound

maybe the power button is bad.
does it get detected in device manager when you connect to PC

Havnt checked that but it makes a sound wen conected to pc it also doesnt show if its chargin the led light doesn't come on

its a power thing. hold down the power button while you connect the phone to a charger. the LED should at least come on

its possible the power button is bad.
I've experienced something like this before now.
What i did was to hold the volume increase and power buttons while the phone was connected via USB to a PC. the LED finally came up and it booted up
Whats the HTC model

you'll need to take it in for a hardware check. maybe the power button is bad or its a current flow problem
