PMT Changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded
(11-08-2015, 08:03 PM)whitey2015 After i had found ebr1 & 2 files of the same size, though not from the back up i made from my own phone but of another phone with thesame mtk6589. Also the flash tool has started recognising my phone as well.
But i tried twice to flash the ebr files and i got same error message 'pmt changed for tge rom; it must be downloaded'. the process bar turned red at these two trial. Though the help button provided a solution, but since i wasn't sure if it would work, i didn't follow the help.

you'll usually need to format then reflash the entire ROM to fix PMT errors (see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-439.html)
its best you get the ebr files from a working phone of the same model
BTW, whats the phone model?

here's EBR 1&2 with scatter files for your phone model.
try modding then flashing those
(13-08-2015, 02:47 PM)whitey2015 Thank you but i really need a thread on how to go about the formatting and flashing of the rom before those ebr files could work. Besides i don't know if the back-up i made from my phone using mtk droid tools will work after the format, hoping it wouldn't be giving same pmt error during downloads.
Before now have been having issue with my phone not being able to install apk directly on the phone due to missing apkinstaller, except through google play and pc apk installer.
