It doesn't seem to select anything at all. Am supposed to use the volume up or down to move the mouse and use the power button to select but the power button won't select

Try volume down + power and wipe eMMC

were you able to boot into factory mode and wipe eMMC?

The phone is back now I did as u said it's working now. The only problem is that I have a 32gig SD installed in it yet it tells me am running out of space. I changed the installation part to my SD yet the same report

I have done all the backup and everything other thing that the thread asked to do but where I am having issues now is to flash it on the phone. I loaded the scatter file with the upgraded ebr 1 not 2 on the spot flash tool and clicked on download with the phone off I connected it to my pc left it for close to 1hr30min but nothing happened on the screen.

You're supposed to flash both ebr files
Ensure you install vcom drivers @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html as the SP flash tool guide instructed
