[Please help] Lenovo P780
[Please help] Lenovo P780
(27-10-2015, 10:25 PM)dan I have a dead Lenovo P780 that I am trying to reflash the ROM I backed up last June
I did have two successful flashes before, this time it doesn't work out
The phone now won't boot
I am only able to flash the preloader and nothing else
Attached screens
(28-10-2015, 12:05 PM)dan I have tried to flash my own backup of the rom I previously made with MTK droidtools
Do I maybe need to edit the "start" and "length" numbers? or it doesn't matter?

Dont edit those.
This might be an emmc issue
Have you tried the stock ROM?
(28-10-2015, 04:15 PM)dan I definitely want to try the stock ROM but I'm not sure where to get it and I'm also worried it will overlap the partitions or something
Here are screenshots I took back in September showing the version
The back of the retail package states the date Aug 2014 (I assume that's build/assembly date)
If it's an eMMC issue, if I take it to a lab and they replace the eMMC then the problem is solved? but how do I know for sure if it's an eMMC issue before I go in and invest in a new one

If error 5069 persists with the Stock ROM then you're likely looking at an eMMC issue
(28-10-2015, 10:04 PM)dan That means I need to replace the eMMC? I can do that but that is my last resort as a replacement fix costs $100.00 here
What's my other options?
edit: the ROM I backed up myself before the phone died, that ROM is considered as "stock ROM" right? Otherwise, where do I find the stock ROM?

(29-10-2015, 01:17 PM)dan There's three different versions there but I'm unsure they're the exact same ROM I got with the phone? (I had P780_S144_140726, that was also android 4.1) Or it doesn't matter as long as it is the same phone model? (P780)
