I've tried several times on different computers/laptop running with MSFT Windows 8.1/10 but the phone just get connected barely for few seconds & later disconnected. It seems to be unable to be recognized by the SPFlashTool & ended up with an indefinite boot loop.

Kindly advise & thanks in advance.

I experienced the same problem with the Huawei y330-u10 which is locked to our local carrier, and i had to use sd card dload method ,Im not sure if your phone has stock recovery and support sd dload, if you have stock recovery try powering on and pressing both volume buttons simultaneously and see if it will enter sd dload mode.

Greetings,

Many thanks for your suggestions but unfortunately it still doesn't work! FYI, I can't even manage to boot up my phone (unable to be detected by SP Flash Tool), not to mention using DLOAD method. :-(...

Greetings,

I'm aware that the following alternative, trial-and-error but it still doesn't work even I've tried on several PC & laptop running with different OSes....

Error 2004 Message: BROM ERROR : S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (2004)

Meaning: There was an interruption in the communication between SP flash tool and the device

Solution:
* Right-click flash_tool.exe > Select Properties > Select Compatibility > Set to Windows XP Service Pack 3 > Click Apply > Click OK > Run SP flash tool as Administrator
* Try a different USB cord
* Try a different port on the PC or another PC * Ensure the battery is well changed and inside the switched off phone before connecting to PC for flashing.

Just wondering whether the MTK6589 chipset driver was installed successfully? It appears to be unable to be detected by the SP Flash Tool upon pressing the DOWNLOAD button & jz disconnected after few seconds...FYI, I've installed all drivers manually via ADD LEGACY DEVICE... Kindly advise...

UPDATE 02 JAN 2016:

I manage to detect my phone using SPFT v3.1320 by pressing & holding VOL UP + VOL DOWN simultaneously while connecting my phone to PC via USB cord. However, an error message popped up "BROM ERROR: S_SECURITY_SF_CODE_COMMAND_FORBIDDEN (6012)" after having some flashing activity (observed from the status of progress bar) on my phone. Specifically, it's worth noting that I can't even detect my phone using the latest SPFT..Kindly advise. Thanks...Regards

Regards,

Changing compatibility mode ought to fix this.
Have you tried holding the volume buttons with V5 as you did with V3

Greetings,

What I did on SPFT v3.1320 was exactly same as SPFT v5.1532 as well as Infinix FT v1.0 (i.e. compatibility mode changed from Windows XP (SP2/SP3) to Windows 7) but unfortunately error 2004 was generated. However, the weird thing is SPFT v3.1320 still able to detect my phone even without having to change the compatibility mode but always prompting error code 6010 or 6012. Kindly advise. Thanks.
