Dear all, am trying to install VCom drivers on a windows xp machine but am unable to can someone please help ? I need to flash my fone asap and my computer is not available

What stage have you gotten to have you disabled signature verification?

What stage have you gotten to have you disabled signature verification?

I tried working it the way the windows 7 tutorial goes but I cannot even get where to add legacy devices

First of all to see add legacy one item has to be highlighted in device manager...

You can search for mediatek driver that has a setup inside it should work for you that whats i used when i was still running Windows 7

to install drivers goto device manager then click on any of the listed driver this will show add legacy which Will help in installing

if you are running windows XP the process might differ a bit
* open device manager
* turn off the phone and connect to the PC
* when device manager refreshes, look for the newly added device and update the driver
* click "no not this time" then next
* click "install from a list or specific location (advanced)" then next
* click "dont search, i will choose the driver to install" then next
* click "have disk" then next
* click "browse" and locate the drive file then next
* click ok then next
* click on MTK preloader USB VCOM port then next
* finally click next and YES
