(02-06-2016, 11:31 PM)Rhazak Tecno M3 4.2 old version, when I try to flash d new custom rom it reply PMT CHANGE FOR THE ROM,IT NID TO B DOWNLOAD
Your phone is running on the old firmware. Flash the old ROM but do a format first before download only.
PMT changed for the ROM cos the ROM space is limited. Try to format first before download only.
"Auto format flash" and "format whole flash except bootloader" before you tap download and connect your phone.

when you load the scatter file of the old m3 stock rom, are all items ticked?
if yes
try flashing using firmware upgrade

BTW hope the stock rom you are using is the one listed @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-311.html

Believe me, I have gone through a similar case. Firmware upgrade will always give the error code. You wont be able to flash through download only or firmware upgrade unless you format it. Use a compatible USB cable, check if your ROM is what is designed for your phone and format before download.

I am using techno p5 and did experienced the say thing the first time I was flashing. You are currently flashing a ROM which is different from what is already installed so you need to format first.

If you are getting the error during formating, then change the USB cable or the port

Is SP flash tool detecting your phone, Do you see your phone info on sp flash tool when you connect your phone?

If yes, it could be from drivers since the PC gives a pop disconnect sound. Try uninstalling and installing drivers. Again try the latest version of sp flash tool if your is not.

But in all, "pmt changed for the ROM, need to download" is a clear indication that the already installed ROM is different from what you are trying to install now. Maybe variant so you must format before download.
