If you are serious about Android Modding as a Windows PC user then an Ubuntu OS and a Github account are a must have. You could decide to create a partition on your Hard Disk (see how to partition a storage device @ https://www.hovatek.com/blog/how-to-part...n-windows/  ) and install Ubuntu on the newly created partition or run Ubuntu on a virtual machine. In this guide, we'll be looking at how to setup Ubuntu on Windows PC using Oracle VM VirtualBox .

Note: You might need to enable Virtualization Technology in BIOS

Steps to setup Ubuntu on Windows PC using Oracle VM VirtualBox

Follow the steps below to run Ubuntu in Windows

See the video tutorial below or @ http://youtu.be/AEjwaL7ehqw

  1. Download Oracle VM VirtualBox and install it on the Windows PC

  2. Download  Ubuntu ISO 32 or 64 bit

  3. Launch VirtualBox

most of the sources we've tried for Tecno phones didnt work. we might have to contact Tecno to release the source codes for their devices. our next Tecno projects are at the source code level. we're not interested in making themed ROMs. we're after actual upgrades
