Moto E4 plus trying to fix imei - EmptySky - 17-04-2020
I've been trying to fix my imei on my device that has a custom rom (RR v5.8.5), the device is moto e4 plus, the cpu is mt 6737, XT 1770, basebrand is intact, i tried most of the methods that doesn't require me to reset my phone completely but most of them have failed. from modern meta, Chamelephon, the imei fix flash, miracle box, etc

What error do you encounter on all of the tool?
Does the tools write IMEI successful but no IMEI or writing IMEI ended with errors?
Can you get access to a working device of your model with a valid IMEI & TWRP?

I don't have access to the same device I only have the stock rom

use the tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-17941.html to backup phone files before flashing firmware. It will help you restore everything after flashing.

when you start dabbling in things such as custom roms then you should have your mind prepared that if things don't go smoothly there's the possibility that you've have to setup everything afresh and if you don't like repeating setups then you shouldn't setup your phone until you're absolutely sure that everything works

The custom rom might have a bug which is behind the IMEI issue. Backup your phone in TWRP then reflash the firmware and check if IMEI is restored. If it is then backup nvram, restore the custom rom then restore the NVRAM backup.
If still no IMEI on the custom rom then the IMEI issue is due to a modification by the custom rom. Some people also encounter this with magisk root
