how can i recover data from my hdd,passport0740?on connecting to my pc its detected on usb port but cannot be displayed on devices with external storage,even after installing WD SES Drivers Setup x64 cannot be found.
please Really need your assistance got some important data i want to recover

Which device do you want to connect to restore data; is it windows Pc or??

When you connect the external drive; check under my computer>manage>disk management; is the external drive shown, if yes; is it assigned to any letter?

Was the disk initially in a different external case? if yes, you can consider installing disk in the same case.

if not then you can try to initialize the disk.

Was the disk initially in a different external case? if yes, you can consider installing disk in the same case.

if not then you can try to initialize the disk.
