Hello

Am kinda douting which window is more preferable on a pc.
People say Windows 7 is other say Windows 8 is

I prefer window 7[some software can't run on other windows except window 7]Big Grin

Which window is better and why

It depends on your PC's specs.
If you're after stability and familiarity then Windows 7 should suit you. I think you'll love Windows 8 and 10 for performance.

If you've at least a 100 GB to allocate each OS, I would recommend using the Disk Management software on Windows or MiniTool Partition Wizard. BTW, my recommendation is to install Win 10, so you don't have to think about things when support ends for Win 8 as it did for 7. As for software, search alternatives when you come across what you need, install necessary software/frameworks like .NET Framework. I still revere Win 7.

If you intend running lots of legacy software (old application) and drivers then windows 7 is your best bet for now especially if your laptop was launched more than 5 years ago (I use HP 2740p and it took months to get the mobile Broadband drivers I work on windows 10, yes I meant months) but if you're planning to use the latest software, then go for Windows 10 (windows 8 to me was just a test experiment that was never meant to be used for more than 6 months). Finally if your laptop has UEFI make sure you use 64-bit OS (ignore this if you choose to dual boot)
