Hello everyone !

I tried to do an official update in the stock rom (4.2.2) via the settings menu=>about=> System update and then i rebooted, it asked me to install the .zip and it said "installation aborted" and now i'm stuck on "CWM Based Recovery v6.0.4.4 modd by carliv@xda" . I guess it's because this CWM version doesn't support higher android version than 4.2.2 ?

I tried to flash the latest recovery (CTR Recovery v3.3) with fastboot but no luck, i get the error "partition recovery not support flash".

I suceeded to connect the phone on my PC with "MTK Droid Root & Tools" but it doesn't show all the information and the "box" at the bottom left is blue instead of green :/ I guess i'm not rooted anymore?

is there a way to boot on the stock rom again, please?

You tried to do an OTA update on a rooted device with custom recovery...of course your phone will get bricked.
Download the stock ROM @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-9488.html and flash it using SP flash tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-159.html

Thank you for pointing out my mistakes !

For OTA updates we have to remove the root and restore the stock recovery? Even the root with stock recovery can mess up the OTA updates?

I will try your to flash with SP flash Tool, thank you again. Smile

Root or custom recovery could pose a problem
before you proceed with flashing the firmware, backup your bricked phone using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
