Hi,

I have a SDY107S device (Android 6.0, SC7731G CPU), for which I have system.img, boot.img and recovery.img. However the stock ROM isn't rooted, but I need a rooted device.

Would it be possible to get a rooted ROM from the stock one?

Sincerely,
Benoît Vernier

1. What's the Build Number?
2. Do you have ADB-Fastboot installed on your PC
3. Drop a link to the stock recovery.img

1. B107_vBA100004_20161210
2. Yes, I have ADB and Fastboot installed.
3. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_JGuL...ElKeGR1aTg

I have Linux Mint 18, MacOS 10.11 and Windows 10. I can help with any step of the process if needed. In fact I would like to be able to further customize the ROM afterwards (add auto-boot feature when the device is put to charge as described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34601...mmatically, remove almost all apps, etc.), so if you have any documentation on the process I would be very interested.

Try this TWRP @ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4S-Z72...ZpczQ/view
flash using fastboot
flash SuperSU 2.78 @ https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457084094631642692 in TWRP recovery
Once rooted, upload a screenshot of root confirmation using root checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en

Thank you. I have successfully flashed TWRP on my device, however when booting on it, it asks to "Swipe to Unlock", but I am not able to swipe (nothing happens). It doesn't seem to be a tactile screen error, because when the screen goes dim then black, touching it "wakes up" TWRP. Any suggestions?

you'll need to use a non touch based recovery
i believe the admin can assist you with that.

I have actually found the solution, the touchscreen is reversed with regards to the display. So I need to click in the top right corner to activate the bottom left option.

have you been able to flash SuperSU or we're still looking at a non-touch recovery?

I have been able to flash SuperSU, thank you. Do you have any documentation on how to make custom features in a ROM such as the ones I listed above?

No, we don't have such a guide ATM.
Still waiting for a screenshot of the root checker confirmation
