You shouldn't be having this problem.
Have you wiped your phone storage (under Settings) and done a factory reset?

I had the same issue; started a week ago.

I did a factory reset and loaded the backup I had saved a while back.

Everything was back to normal, that is until the Settings App automatically updated to version 4.70.56.2.

Now I once again get the message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.settings has stopped" when I go to Settings - Apps and select any app.

It would appear there is issue with the latest Settings App update.

So either I do another factory reset and disallow any automatic updates, or I wait for a fix from Google when they realise the problem and fix the Settings App.

I haven't added an App in a long time.

Out of the blue, about a week a ago, started getting that message whenever I navigated to Settings - Apps and then selected an App.

I ran several anti-viruses just to be sure there wasn't a virus. Looked at all the apps running in the background, and I recognised all of them.

I did a factory reset, reinstalled the backup I had saved a long time ago, and everything was fine.... no more message.

Then overnight, the Settings app automatically updated itself to it's newer version, and I began having the same problem all over again.

Problem solved...

Through AVG Anti-Virus (unable through Settings since it would crash each time I selected the Settings App), I was able to remove the last update and set it back to factory default. The Settings App is now showing version 4.70.36.1.

Everything is working fine again. No more messages.

In summary, the issue is with the last Settings update. Remove the last update and it's back to normal.

P.S. In AVG Anti-Virus, select Performance - Storage Usage and then delete the Settings App. This will remove the last upgrade and set it back to factory default.

Once it rolled back, go to About Phone - Update Center - App Updates and select Settings (too right hand side) and and turn "Auto-updates app" to OFF.

if the setting is making the problem just install Link2sd.apk the you can uninstall un necessary apps from there. this app work best with root privilege or try booting in to safe mood
