This guide will explain how to backup a Mediatek (MTK) Smartwatch's ROM / firmware using Miracle Box. Its important to dump the firmware in case it gets corrupted / bricked later on.

Requirements

  • Download Miracle Box
  • Install Mediatek Smartwatch drivers
  • Take out the Smartwatch's battery > Hold the Power button then connect to PC via USB > Wait till the MTK USB driver is done installing > Reinsert the battery

Steps to backup a Mediatek Smartwatch's firmware using Miracle Box


Follow the steps below to use Miracle Box to backup a Mediatek Smartwatch's firmware

  1. Extract the Miracle Box zip into a folder and launch Miracle loader exe

  2. Tick the MTK Tab

  3. Tick Read

  4. Under Boot Select, select 4th Boot (Auto Connect). If you want the firmware in .bin format then do no tick Save as scatter file else if you want it in scatter format then tick Save as scatter file

    Now, click Start

  5. You should now see >>Waiting for USB Port... Power off the Smartwatch then connect to PC with battery in it (do not hold the power button)

  6. The Smartwatch should get detected

  7. A Window should pop up. If you had ticked Save as scatter file and your Smartwatch supports scatter backup then you should see a list asking you to tick which Blocks you wish to backup and the location to save to. If you didn't opt to backup as scatter then you should be asked to select the location to save the .bin backup to. Navigate to the location and click Save

  8. Once backup is completed, you should see Read OK 100%

Important Notice
  • Miracle Box requires a hardware box or dongle to work. Merely installing and running the setup without connecting the hardware won't work
  • If you are using a loader version (no hardware needed) then your antivirus might flag it. Its up to you to heed or allow the program to run anyway
  • Avoid interrupting the backup process as this could cause the smartwatch to go dead
  • Depending on the specs of the smartwatch, the backup file(s) might be in .bin (low end) or scatter (mid - high end) format
  • When flashing the backup to your smartwatch, its recommended you use Miracle Box for best compatibility
