(30-01-2018, 07:41 AM)Chiboyy88 I tried searching for firmware or TWRP Recovery.img for my variant which is "X556-H371A-N-171229V207" .
All can find is "X556-H371A1-M-160906V70", even on infinix and other site like needrom.com.

try the miracle box dumping process on a different PC
BTW you may not find the firmware for this build X556-H371A-N-171229V207 as it looks like one of the most update builds
what exactly are you trying to do?

Trying to root my phone

I've tried the dumping again it worked. But i'm facing a serious problem with that. After every backup I do using Miracle Android Box, my phone won't switch on any longer, I will have to keep it
untill the phone battery drains off completely, before I can charge or boost to switch it back on.
Any help with that?

I need to know if the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.78-20160905010000 posted in respect to "Infinix hot 4 pro X556-H371A1-M-160906V70"
whether or not it will be ok to flash on "X556-H371A-N-171229V207".

Thats quite normal. If the battery is removable just take it out and reinsert. If not then connect the phone to power and hold the Power button. That speeds up the reboot process

I have patched my stock boot, but then I found out my bootloader is locked and I have read on how to unlock it.
But my questions are; After unlocking my bootloader, (1) can I do an OTA update when available for the device.?
(2) And can I use other rooting apps like "Kingroot instead of flashing the patch_boot img?."

You don't need to unlock the Bootloader or use the fastboot method.
You already made a Miracle Box dump didn't you?
Just copy scatter file and preloader.bin from it then add the patched boot (after renaming it to boot.bin) then flash the three using Miracle Box

I just flashed the patched_boot.bin and preloader.bin with Miracle Box, after renaming the patched_boot.bin to boot.bin, the phone went into bootloop, rebooting itself over and over. I had to find my way to switch it off quickly, then flashed it again with the stock boot, before it boot normal.
Is there anything I missed?
Thanks
