It's either a drained battery issue or a wrong firmware flashed.
What was wrong with the phone before flashing it?
Have you tried using a different battery or charging the battery for few hours?

for PC detection try the following:

1 update drivers ( VCOM & CDV)
2 plug in without battery and hold volume up key.

This is definitely a wrong firmware issue,so you have to get the right firmware and flash it.
Are you holding the boot key while connecting? Try left soft key, left soft key+green key, or * or # or 0 or center d-pad button

Am I right in saying that it happened because I flashed with a pac file instead of a bin file. I read somewhere on the forum that to flash feature phones with miracle box you need to use a bin file

If what you have is a .pac file, you should flash it using research download tool

Its not about the file format rather about you flashing the firmware for your variant / build.
Have you tried removing and re-inserting the battery?
