Hi there,
I have been trying to root my Infinix s5 x652A, but I can't get my hands on a tested ported TWRP for the phone. Although I saw a method on this website,
https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-31956.html
but it has some issues with internal storage and I don't want to do anything that will mess up the phone as I have little to non technical ability if something goes wrong.
Thanks

if you're waiting for someone to test then tell you, then i fear you will wait a really long time
ofc you can send the OP of the thread an email, maybe he might be happy to help you confirm what you seek

Managed to get a recovery from the auto porter, but I am wondering if booting twrp temporarily with
fastboot boot recovery.img
might cause any said issues.

So I tried to boot the TWRP directly and nothing happens, justs redirect me to home.

I flashed the TWRP and I had an orange bootloop as the bootloader is currently unlocked, I flashed the phone clean retried and I got the same bootloop.
What could be the cause of this and by the way I am using TWRP Porter v1.5 thanks.

Checked that, but the guy was able to flash twrp successfully, in my case once I flash twrp, the phone tries to reboot as it should but instead enters a bootloop.

flash stock recovery to fix the bootloop
before you flash twrp, disable dm_verity by flashing empty vbmeta ; see the Update section @
https://www.hovatek.com/blog/dm_verity-i...-bootloop/
boot the phone to homescreen to confirm that it's not bricked
then flash twrp
boot the device to twrp and flash the two zip files listed @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-319...#pid186613

Can you please share your TWRP. I've been trying to Port one using the auto Porter's(1.2'1.5 and 1.6) they don't seem to work.
