Hi I am trying to fix my bricked Ulefone U5s+ an MTK6582 based phone using SP Flash tools. I have downloaded the stock rom from needrom.com .

after selecting the scatter file and downloading, the red progress bar shows 100% and then an error:: s_da_sdmmc_write_failed (3149) pops up.

can anybody help me with this issue.
NOTE: i am not a pro in this and just learning the basics.

Thanks
Roopak

1. is the phone usually off with battery inside when you connect to PC for flashing?
2. have you tried another PC and USB cord
3. does the phone come on by itself during flashing?
4. have you tried using sp flash tool v 3 and 5?

you're supposed to connect it to pc for flashing with a battery inside but switched off.
also, ensure the battery is well charged
i thinks thats where the problem is from

thats a much better error than the 3149. what you need to do is to first format in sp flash tool then flash the files using download.
Note: Before you format, ensure you'll be flashing the ROMs for your EXACT model. double-check the ROMs to be sure they're for your model
to format and flash, follow the SP flash tool guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-159.html
