Greetings to all since I am new to this forum.
to start I would like to thank for the information and tutorials
since they have helped me a lot.

the issue is that for days I've been trying to root a rearview mirror with android 8.1.0 from the manufacturer Junsun model A102.
but when modifying my files with magisk, no matter how hard I try, i can't install them either through fastboot or through the Research Download tool since the download never completes.
I have been following various tutorials in this forum on how to sign files and create my own signed vbmeta.img but still I am not successful.
The steps I am taking are the following:

1º-I have successfully unlocked the device bootloader by following the thread below: https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32287.html

2º I have extracted the boot.img, recovery.img, and vbmeta-sign.img files from the .pac update file provided by the manufacturer, and I have applied patches with magisk
after that the problems begin.

3ºI continue to extract the keys from my original vbmeta-sign.img file as indicated in the next post. https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32662.html and  https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32667.html (emphasize that the keys of my vbmeta-sing.img file are identical to those of the post)

4ºI proceed to successfully sign my files patched with magisk following the instructions in the following post.https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32674.html

5ºAfter that, I successfully finished the process to generate a new vbmeta.img file signed following the instructions in the following post. https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32664.html

The entire signing process is successful and without problems, but when I try to flahse those files to the device, the download is never completed, neither using researchDownload nor through fastboot, I have tried the files extracted from my original firmware and they are perfectly transferred using fastboot or researchdownload.
so i assume the problem is in modifying the files could someone help me and shed some light on the way

Regards, and thank you very much.

...

your vbmeta is signed differently from what we originally used to write the guide
check the padding size of your original vbmeta image using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-326...#pid194145 ; replace the size in the make image command

lastly use the vbmeta padding py script @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-344...#pid194987 ; it's meant for vbmeta images such as yours
