HTC DESIRE 626
HTC DESIRE 626
(10-07-2020, 01:17 PM)francisdrake005 Hello Team Hovatek,
I had an HTC Desire 626 dual sim smartphone with the following specs;
I have searched the internet for this phone's stock firmware to no vain.
- MT6592
- Android version 4.4.2 (Kit Kat)
- 8GB ROM and 1GB RAM
- Dual sim card support
A friend of mine had flashed an almost same phone ROM into the phone and rendered the phone totally useless with a black screen.
I wish to get this phone's stock firmware so that I can resuscitate it back for personal use.
Please team, help me find this phone's stock ROM. I live in Kenya. Thanks in advance.
(11-07-2020, 08:11 AM)francisdrake005 I'm not sure of this phone's build number, can I somehow get it using the Miracle Box?One thing that keeps coming up is the id number which is 1.03.707.1. I am not sure whether this is the phone's build number considering that I hadn't previous used it not any other HTC device.

(11-07-2020, 03:39 PM)X3nonActually, that's the best practice I always follow whenever I want to flash anything to a smartphone. You should also understand that this phone no longer have anything worthwhile to be backed up because it can not even boot, it boots to a black screen; meaning that basically almost every firmware partition in it might not be in compatibility or useless. That's why I need a proper compatible ROM that would rectify this. Please help.(11-07-2020, 08:11 AM)francisdrake005 I'm not sure of this phone's build number, can I somehow get it using the Miracle Box?
see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html ; search online for the the build number you find and see if you find anything for it

best you backup firmware from the device before flashing any firmware. this way you'll have what to restore if the firmware doesn't work properly

The phones's details are these:
Build number: 1.03.707.1
Android Version: 4.4.2
Model: HTC Desire 626
CPU: MT6592
(13-07-2020, 09:09 AM)X3nonThat's an insight. Thanks for that. Let me see if I can find something else different.(12-07-2020, 07:41 AM)francisdrake005 ...that this phone no longer have anything worthwhile to be backed up because it can not even boot, it boots to a black screen; meaning that basically almost every firmware partition in it might not be in compatibility or useless.
Not true, seeing as the phone can at least power on and boot to black screen then the preloader works that could easily save you from a totally dead phone i.e assuming other partitions don't contain compatible rom images

i hope this isn't the build number you read from the phone after flashing the rom that resulted in black display, if it is then this is the build number of the firmware that cause the black displayed
if it is not, then use the build number to search for the firmware online. taking note of the links you download from so you don't download from the same link on a different website
