need help to revive my bricked Tecno WX3P (WX3P-H8017AB-N-170523V63)
(05-08-2020, 03:38 AM)DivergentSony after doing the concatenation, how will I mount / extract the final ext4 file and how will I use it to restore the the app data that I want to do on a new phone?
Secondly, I want to ask if I can use the below method to restore the app data from my twrp recovery?
I get a new another phone that is different and higher in specs from that tecno wx3p, I take a full backup on it with twrp and probably miracle box. Then I duplicate the backup on my PC and use ONLY the data.ext4.win files or the files containing the user data backup on my old tecno phone to replace the one in the new phone that I want buy. Then use twrp to restore it or maybe flash it back with miracle box.

cat: data.ext4.win000: No such file or directory
cat: data.ext4.win001: No such file or directory
you're to place both files within your user folder in cygwin's folder e.g C:\cygwin64\home\your_name\
then you can run the command

(07-08-2020, 01:07 AM)DivergentSony But the userdata file is not in an image file. How do I mount it since the extension is in fulldata.ext4.win? Will the mounting work with the backup file with that file extension.
Then another question I have is that will this image file mounting/extract method allow me to extract "App data" stored on the internal storage which will contain Whatsapp too or it's only media files? Because from what I read in that post, it seems it's only media files or folders on it I can use it to get.
(07-08-2020, 11:34 AM)DivergentSony Ok. I will try it, But my main concern is Apps data that will include whatsapp chatsĀ (exactly how my whatsapp was when I did the backup) and other apps, not the media files from those Apps installed on the phone. Can the method give such result?
(09-08-2020, 11:47 PM)DivergentSony I just tried mounting it with the Linux Reader software It's giving the error message - "can't open disk ... check the disk and try again." I renamed the data backup file to fulldata.img and fulldata.ext4.img from fulldata.ext4.win but that was what it said on both occassions.
