I can't find anyone using the device here ?
try a different approach using modem meta
launch the tool > connect the phone > load the DB
use the search bar > search for "update parameter" and launch > upload from flash > save to file
if this is successful, then try editing the saved file (hopefully it has the section for imei, if it does then write your original imei)
to write the modified file back to the device use buttons
load from file > download to flash
