Hi I'm trying to root my Hisense a5 pro cc and Q5. I found this reference to debug.rootbackdoor=1 in the file init.usb.rc

Anyone knows how this could be used to root the phone ?

Nope :'( - I just got a copy of the firmware (no pac unfortunately) that I can extract...

any attempt to flash any custom image without unlocking bootloader and possibly disabling or bypassing dm_verity will lead to a brick
