I understand what you're saying. Its not difficult at all. would need access to the device and the phone's the complete files to do this. developing without having the device to observe the implementation isnt going to be smooth
(03-12-2014, 12:33 PM)hovatek we've made the modifications but getting compilation errors. seems the tweak didnt work with the files. try http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ , its an alternative method of tweaking. you could also try using pimpmyrom.apk . we're working on getting a h6 for development purposes
(03-12-2014, 02:18 PM)GregSte623 I too was getting compilation errors. Yeah I'll try. But another question. You know about android one yeah ? Their devices have practically the exact same specs as the tecno h6. same mt6582 quad core 1.3ghz, 1gb of ram and same Mali 400mp2 gpu. Differences are the internal memory and camera. Would it be easier to port Roms from those devices?

we're currently exploring that option with some micromax roms since we couldn't get Tecno phones source codes. upgrading from 4.2 to 4.4 or 5 isn't about copying and replacing some files from a phone of similar specs , it's a little more than that. we're looking at that approach in porting Tecno H3s kitkat to m3 since they're very much alike.
It's possible though and we're currently exploring this Technique for the Keslar Infinito M3 I ROM ( KIM3i )
(03-12-2014, 07:38 PM)GregSte623 Okay but I'm talking about porting a KitKat 4.4.2 cyanogenmod made for an android one device to the tecno h6 which has a stock KitKat 4.4.2 already. And as I said pretty much the same specs. And FYI I know how to port a ROM, been doing that for Samsung phones. MTK architecture is just a little trickier to work with

oh, in that case, it's worth a shot since specs are similar
(04-12-2014, 11:15 PM)GregSte623 Alright I'll try working on that
