No 3g/4g after flashing Infinix Note 4 x572
(09-11-2018, 11:09 AM)pheesayor Thanks for your response, what I got from my friend who uses same is X572-H5312AD, I had actually downloaded the Nougat earlier the system.img file was corrupt and didn't load in flash tool but I went ahead to flash and that was where the problem started from. I got another one and tried to flash but couldn't load the scatter file because of checksum error so I ignored it and moved to another not knowing that I was proceeding on fruitless journey of 6 days.
When the build was sent to me yesterday, I downloaded the Oreo version, it flashed but it was just starting and it didn't boot into recovery as well so I went back to the Nougat, then I came across the thread about sp flash tool error codes and solutions here, I corrected the checksum error and flashed, behold my 3g network returned.
I saw NVWAM wifi error, I flashed nvram sent to me here some days ago and then the it stopped recognising, I went back to flashtool to redownload, same error so I used flash+download and then it was working, I inserted my airtel sim and it worked, then I flashed the correct imei with sn write tools and my phone was functioning well again asides the nvram error which I ignored and the phone security which wasn't working as it should.
I then did OTA to return to Oreo and nvram error is gone and phone is still working well, current build is X572-H5312AD-O-180503V139 and there's a prompt for another OTA update to X572-H5312AD-O-180531V142 which I guess will then take me to X572-H5312AD-O-180810V157 which my friend's own is running on. Another issue though, I've flashed custom recovery so I can root the phone and remove annoying system apps but even though flashing is successful, it still boots to stock recovery and not custom recovery.
It is now clear that I ran into this issue because I did not take note of the build before flashing, then I downloaded a rom with a bad system.img file and then went ahead to flash other builds instead of looking for a working version of that build.
Lesson learnt and I hope others will learn from this.
Thanks to everyone who took time to respond to me, I am very grateful
