This brief piece will show you how to boot a laptop from a CD with an operating system like Windows 7, Vista and XP.
  1. Shut down your laptop if not already done. Turn it back on and quickly keep pressing One of these buttons (it depends on the laptop): F1, F2, F11 or Delete.
  2. The Bios will come up in the Main menu. Go to Boot Tab.
  3. There it will show you what devices will boot first second and so on. Press enter on the first boot device and use the up and down keys to choose 'CD Rom' as the first device to boot up.
  4. Go to the exit tab and press enter on the Exit & Save
  5. That will restart you laptop but you should already have the CD put into you CD rom.
