Hello, I flashed a tecno S9 successfully but found out its showing no SIM detected. I checked IMEI and its invalid so I fixed it using engineering mode.

The IMEI is now ok but same problem. I tried repairing it too via MPOB_001 replacement but couldn't find the file to delete in device root. The folder is empty.

Everything in about phone is ok - baseband, kernel etc.

How do I go about it?

I've changed SIM cards, same thing.

As to "trying again", I don't know what that means. Like I should work on the IMEI again after changing SIM cards or?

If you have valid baseband, and write IMEI successfully then having Invalid SIM the problem might be Hardware.

BTW Where did you download the ROM you've flashed??

Not every method works for all devices.
Consider the Non-root methods @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-116.html

My thoughts too but the sims were ok before the flash.

If you're having undetected SIM despite having written IMEI then you should consider re-writing IMEI using SN Writer, Maui Meta or GSM Alladin Box after which you wipe the phone under Settings > Backup & reset
