Hi I just unpacked system.new.dat and saw lot of apks etc. My question is can't we not put google apps inside and repack and update through zip file ?
I went into recovery mode and can't go inside recovery (Power button and Volume Up). I can see following options in recovery
1.Recovery 2.UART on 3.UART OFF 4.Reboot 5.Power off
If I try to enter using power key in Recovery the mobile reboots normally. Is it locked ? I thought I will get options like factory reset ,wipe data etc like Samsung and other phones. The only way I can update through zip once I start the phone in normal mode and click on system update and choose zip file as source.
It is driving me crazy as recovery option doesn't allow me. If the software gets messed up then I am locked for ever
